They actually pulled the product on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Canon-EOS-1DX-Mark-DSLR-Camera/dp/B01B6OTTIM
Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
Not sure if this is the exact item he ordered, but this is Ships from and sold by Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/Canon-EOS-1DX-Mark-DSLR-Camera/dp/B01B6OTTIM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1519445193&sr=8-2&keywords=1dx+mark+ii
The guy linked the Amazon page and he bought it directly from Canon, 'ships from and sold by Amazon.com'. Seems like pretty shitty practice for two massive companies like Canon and Amazon to not check if their returned merchandise is actually what it claims to be...
Would what you said still apply in this case?
