i used to have one. Yes it does, however it takes a bit longer (5s or more) to get the actual internal temp. Lets say your meat is 135, when sticking the thermometer in it might read 127 and then slowly creep up to the actual temp. It says its water resistant but it really is not, mine broke when a bit of water got onto it. I upgraded to the one i linked below and it reads a lot faster and actually is water resistant.

Listed at $50 on Amazon. These are supposed to be good alternatives for the $79 Thermapen instant read thermometers. I'm getting one to see if it's worth the money. Ships Feb 26th.
