Just some basic nylon brush set would be fine.

Acrylic paints damage brushes. So they never last that long in my experience. Even when you clean then well, the paint builds up in them. So I would buy 2 packs of $6-7 brushes.

I only use more expensive brushes for oil or gouache. Oil will also ruin brushes though. Just not as fast as acrylic.

Also. A brush cleaner is a great gift. A silicone scrubber thing. Like this. It helps so much.

Just put some dishwash soap on it and run the brush over the bristles.

Clean up is faster and it does a better job.

Silicone Scrubbers

I originally bought some of these intending to give them as Christmas gifts. Turns out I’m keeping them because they are the perfect stim tool for me. They’re comfortable in the hand, soft and able to be poked and prodded without picking up nasty lint and such. They are easily cleaned in the dishwasher or in boiling water. (Lifelong pick and poker).
