Depending on what he's doing a simple mask will work (most don't use them unless mixing chemicals though. A face shield for turbo nozzle use on pavers is nice. Obviously right now masks are hard to come by or I'd recommend N95's. Working with Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach) day in and day out you "should" take the appropriate precautions. Most guys only use respirators etc when using roof mixes (higher % of SH).
