Ive had nothing be trouble with all my airconsoles, ive gone through about four of them (batteries randomly swell up), and its more trouble than what its worth IMO. Id rather buy a RJ45 coupler and a cheap chinese usb->serial if you need to do work in the next room, grab a long patch cable and go to town.
very good suggestions, but i buy these CHEAP little dudes in bulk and leave them at every site with the equipment lol (and i ship them with the equipment when we got remote hands). ive had _zero_ problems with drivers on windows7/8/10/linux.
(they arent PnP but how hard is it to google the driver PCI/VEN?)
Thanks, I got the OIKWAN one that says it has an FTDI chip
USB to RJ45 console cable, this is what you need. I have one that looks like this, but not exact one, should work https://www.amazon.com/OIKWAN-Compatible-Opengear-Arubaļ¼Juniper-Switches/dp/B075V1RGQK/
