You’re looking pretty good to me! You don’t need cuttlebone if you’re feeding your baby a quality pellet. A lot of people on this sub like Harrison’s pellets; my avian veterinarian recommended Roudybush and my 12 week old cockatiel LOVES them. Ideally, you’ll feed your bird fresh vegetables as well, especially dark greens like spinach, broccoli, as well as carrots for their vitamin A.

The only warning I have for you about your list of items is about the sandy perch, the green one. Those perches are VERY abrasive on the pads of their feet, and can lead to a lot of problems. If you want a grooming perch, you can get one that only has abrasive on the sides. I have this one.

In the future, make a little foraging box for your bird! I made a little foraging box (out of a cardboard lid) for my cockatiel two days ago and he LOVES it. Some of the things in the box are just pieces I took off of bird toys he already had. I also put things like cardboard, strips of newspaper, cut up toilet paper rolls, and paper cupcake liners in there. It’s a fun thing to make for your bird and it gives him something to do out of the cage. This is my box! I like to sit it next to me on the couch while I watch TV or on my desk while I’m working.

Lastly, you should pick up a clicker, and try to find a training treat that your bird likes. My bird likes millet, but he isn’t really willing to work for it. I figured out that he REALLY likes pumpkin seeds though, so those are what I use for training now. Ideally, I’ll find something cheaper, but it works for now. I got my bird when he was 9 weeks old, he’s 12 weeks old now and through clicker training, for maybe 10 minutes once or twice a day, he’s partially potty trained, (he doesn’t poop on me anymore!), he’ll fly to his cage on command, and he’s recall trained (flying and landing on me when called) for about six feet or so. He’s not comfortable flying further than that yet, but that’s okay, he’s just a baby.

Have fun with your new baby! It’s so much fun, and so fulfilling. My little Marty really came out of his shell this week, and it’s so heart warming to watch him gain confidence and everything ahhhhhhh I love him so much
