Getting the legs to sit evenly isn't easy and it's a bit heavy. I got mine set into a position that works for me both on my couch and in bed and just haven't touched it. That being said, it's very well built, provides a stable surface, and is much better at keeping a laptop cool than propping it up on a pillow or keeping it in your actual lap. My advice would be to check that the size works for your body.
