Before i go return the helmet do you think i could also ask you a question about the other protective pads i bought? Is it the same deal with the pads? I want to look for high impact/bike pads and not skateboard pads? I bought these the other day along with the helmet, i was curious your opinion on them. Im really frail, 6'4 130lb, and my main goal on the one wheel is to have fun but avoid the hospital. Thanks again for your time
Elbow - Tipple eight kp22
Knee - Tripple eight EP55
Wrist - Tripple eight wrist pads (Specifically the strap closure version)
Helmet and wrist guards. Not gloves, wrist guards. The kind with the hard plastic splint in them. Usually sold as gear for skaters. These are the two absolute must-haves for scooter gear.
Helmet for obvious reasons. Wrist guards because when you come off the scooter, you're going to instinctively reach for the ground to cushion your fall. You're in an elevated position standing on the scooter, and moving. The impact can easily break your wrists. You need that splint to take the impact instead of your bones.
Here are the ones I bought for my fiancee when I bought her a scooter:

Bicycle gloves are going to maybe keep your hands from getting all scraped up, but the condition of the skin on your hands will be of little concern when your wrist is snapped.
