Yes, inline 10 inch filters are awesome and cheap. I have only 1 inline with a stainless pre-filter, a strainer. I use 3 micron on the 10inch.

The reason was when we went boondocking on BLM lands the "non potable" water spouts you do find, they got allot of sand in them, tiny rocks , its just either very shallow wells or nearby lake water.

Build you own, its much cheaper. I think I spend $50.
