Are you flexible on the power brick thing? They seem to be not-too-expensive and I think you can buy generic ones but I'd have to double-check that.
Most results I'm seeing are $100, including CostCo and Walmart. Is that no problem or way more than you expected?
If that's a problem, how do you feel about buying used?
I can say, that once you go dual monitors, you can't go back. It's a real quality-of-life buff. Also you're a good mom.
