I second the camping chair that someone mentioned. Much like this one
I had a bottom rack in the very back of the berthing and having this was perfect for getting ready in the mornings, and watching movies on my laptop when the table in the front was occupied. It was the best 10 bucks I ever spent.
In my stand up locker, I used one of the slim shoe holders that you hang in your closet, and it was perfect for hygiene products that I used every morning/night.
For my first deployment, my mother sent me a towel wrap with velcro, and I ended up using the shit out of it and bought another for each subsequent deployment. Phenomenal thing if your head is in the berthing. No worries of a towel falling while transiting. Ladies, target has them here
I always have a planner on me. Between appointments, meetings, port visits, bill due dates, I'd never remember everything. Additionally, I always have a good pen (that won't get lent out), a Skilcraft pen (that does get lent out), a highlighter, and a Sharpie in my pocket.
