I've used one or two of those by just drilling the appropriate hole in a desk or workbench. Or clamp a wood block to the back of the unit and drill the hole in that.

That looks like a very nice workspace! I'm a sucker for adjustability, so the mostly locked nature of the lamp you posted wouldn't work for me. Keeping in mind the need to work with a future display, I would choose something like one of these:
