I just bought a "used blackfin XL" from there a couple weeks ago. It actually wasn't used at all just open box, but maybe I got lucky. So far, I'm very happy with it. I'm not much of a fisherman, but I like having the option in the future with the fishing rack mounts.

When I was buying, I did consider getting something from amazon, but I was worried about ending up with some off-brand that would have quality issues. I did a lot of research and the two that I narrowed it down to before I found the used blackfin deal were the Atoll 11'and Nixy Manhattan. The Nixy is more of a touring board, and probably wouldn't be stable enough for fishing as a beginner. The Atoll could be right for you if you do insist on getting one off amazon.
