And I'm with you, OP. It is vastly inferior to HWC. I'd read many people say they can't tell the difference, so I felt safe going with a gallon. WELP.
I'm trying to decide between toughing it out and alternating (one oil, one HWC), or doing maybe 2/3rds HWC and 1/3rd oil in a single shake (which would take longer and maybe be enough to taint the HWC?), or just chunking it (or trying to find a local KetoChower to give it to if anyone is interested in an open bottle).
One thing I will say is I've only tried oil with Salted Caramel, so it's a small sample size. I'm trying it with Choc Peanut Butter, and a Salted Caramel with HWC, tomorrow.
I have been doing only avocado oil for more than a year after doing only HWC for nearly a year. Other than it not quite being as thick, I love it and for me its easier to track my macros. I also know I am not adding additional carbs, where with HWC, despite it showing 0 carbs, actually has carbs. I buy my avocado oil through amazon and never noticed a difference in taste.
