I keep one of these in my back pocket, on or off duty. Light, cheap, durable so far, and just the right amount of light for searching a car, checking someone's eyes, or clipping to your shirt so you can issue a ticket. It's also bright enough to light up most rooms, so if you had to use it with a weapon you absolutely could (you know, if my weapon light and my regular flashlight were out of batteries, I guess). I love mine.

Hell, even my mom liked it so much I bought her one for Mother's Day.
