Just a quick update for anyone interested:

Like I said in the initial post, I ordered this enhanced roku remote from amazon and didn't really know if it worked. Well I got it in the mail today and I can confirm that, although it isn't listed as a compatible device, the remote works perfectly with the 55p605. Much nicer not having to point it directly at the TV.
