Thanks for this. I wouldn't have even thought to try that. I tried it on my current adapter, and it's still doing the same thing. Also for reference, below are the 2 cables I tried previously which are very similar to the one richwest3 is using. I'm starting to wonder if my V30 that is messed up somehow because surely these cables are not the issue.

i wanted to get ngff to hmdi but i didn't know if that would work so i got this instead also , i did look around and a post said it would work but it was outdated , to avoid confusion i just got this combo and was hoping it work but i guess not. and i'm using a monitor a acer 144 hz

but to be clear the combo didn't work it power the exp gdc but it didn't have any display
I have tried at least one dongle and what appears to be a decent USB-C to HDMI cable based on the the previous suggestion on fakespot usage.

I have tried swapping the refresh rate between 59/60hz and there is no difference. Screen still frequently flickers/loses sync.
My TV is a mid grade Vizio. I bought this cable.
