Yes, that's what I purchased on Amazon. The cable is a USB 2.0 printer cable. This is the one I purchased.

I use a regular A-B USB cable with a Apple lightening photo adapter to hook up to an ipad and record in garage band - Detected as a midi input.

You need a printer cable to connect to the back of the Katana.

I have a few touch screen monitors and as long as it has a USB-A port, you connect it to a USB B port in the hub, and it should work.

I literally just downloaded the software, it's never been installed on this machine but I'll reinstall.

Again, even if it the very first time you installed the program, it could have installed incorrectly. This why clearing cache aka deleting the contents of the LocalData folder, will remove the files in that folder that might have not downloaded correctly.

Also I made another comment about error 18. Try those troubleshooting steps as well.
