Yes, that's what I purchased on Amazon. The cable is a USB 2.0 printer cable. This is the one I purchased.
Looks like a USB 2.0 port - Type B. This is the type of cable you'd likely need: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-Cable-Male/dp/B00NH11KIK
I use a regular A-B USB cable with a Apple lightening photo adapter to hook up to an ipad and record in garage band - Detected as a midi input.
You need a printer cable to connect to the back of the Katana.
And an OTG cable to connect your phone to the printer cable
You're welcome. You need this particular cable.
I have a few touch screen monitors and as long as it has a USB-A port, you connect it to a USB B port in the hub, and it should work.
I have a Roland and used the cables below to connect to my ipad (also use melodics): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NH11KIK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MJ1M2AM/A/usb-c-to-usb-adapter
I literally just downloaded the software, it's never been installed on this machine but I'll reinstall.
Again, even if it the very first time you installed the program, it could have installed incorrectly. This why clearing cache aka deleting the contents of the LocalData folder, will remove the files in that folder that might have not downloaded correctly.
Also I made another comment about error 18. Try those troubleshooting steps as well.
Edit: you might also need a new usb cord. Usb a to b (the ones used in most printers) is what you need like this https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-External-Gold-Plated-Connectors/dp/B00NH11KIK/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3N9SLFZ1MTAME&keywords=usb+a+to+b&qid=1685478123&sprefix=usb+a+%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-3
