I've been using my first hot tent all winter, heres what I learned. First off, here is the stove I bought.

It's not too bad during the day, but at night you have to get up every few hours to feed it. And the metal its made of is pretty thin, so it doesnt 'soak up' heat for very long. Also be sure to run it outside of your tent on the first use. The paint burns off and leaves a strong chemical smoke in the air. Also the chimney can get a bit choked with it only being 3". I'm planning on upgrading to a cast iron stove with more interior space and a 5" chimney next season. As for the tent I went way overboard. I got the cabelas Alaknak 12x12. (Cant find a live link right now) its a super heavy tent, most suitable for car/truck camping. Tonnes of room for activities and long term trips. Ive spent a whole week in this combo in below freezing temps with little problems. The floor is pretty nice to have, and so is a bit of pacing room. Hope this helps you choose your gear, and I hope you have a wonderful time with your hot tent!
