First, let's get some info.

  1. How big of a tent do you want? From your choice of the Tiger Wal UL2, I assume a 2 person, but the size can vary greatly from brand to brand as to what's considered enough room for 2 people.
  2. Would you be interested in a trekking pole tent? They can be used with trekking poles OR you can get aftermarket poles of the proper height from several companies (the advantage of using your trekking poles is that they serve double-duty, rather than having dedicated tent poles).
  3. Do you prefer a free-standing tent, or are you fine with a tent that must be staked out? This is directly related to #2 above. Research that if you haven't, as there are pros and cons to both.
  4. Do you want a double wall or single wall? If you're not sure, do the research on the pros and cons of both.
  5. What's your budget like? One tent you're considering is $320, and the other is $180. That's a pretty big spread.
  6. Do you have a target weight? You mention the Dynalite is 3-ish lbs, but it's good to decide on an acceptable weight range.

Also, it would be helpful to include a link to any tent you're referring to. Here's a link to the Near Zero Dynalite 2p.
