- Phone with card holder. Never lose my phone or debit cards because my phone is typically with me at all times
- Smart watch! Reminders, alarms, and will also ping my phone loudly if I lose it in between the couch cushions or in my blankets :)
- Allowing myself to eat the same thing over and over. Now meal planning is super easy :) (AM - oatmeal with walnuts and flax, lunch - bean burrito, dinner is one out of 3 usual things)
- Buying enough phone chargers to have one in each room in my living room, bedroom, workplace, and car. Phone is always charged now.
- Appointment book (the kind businesses use to schedule clients) - not just writing down appointments and dates, but actually BLOCKING out travel time. Helps me understand how early I need to leave for something. By doing this I know how much time is in my day. Note - I also put every appointment IMMEDIATELY in my phone. I sit down at the start of the week and take my phone calendar dates and put them in my appointment book.
- Creating a LOOSE daily schedule. ( EXAMPLE) Gives me a little wiggle room to mix things up each day. I include things like shower time and travel, because it helps me know how much time I need
- hooks by the door for my car keys and bag/backpack. They ALWAYS get put there, no matter what. That way I always know where to find them.
- water bottle and meds at bedside table. I use a pill box to plan my meds for the week. I wake up, get the pills from that day, and have water right there to take them. This way I don't forget to take my meds.
- Days of the week drawer for clothes - I plan out my clothes for the week, that way I don't have to use up mental capacity or time in the morning deciding what to wear. I also just wear the same thing every week, which also makes life super easy. EXAMPLE
- These travel tooth brush thingies for when I forget to brush my teeth. I keep them in my car/bag.
- "Clutter" bin for each room. I get like a cutesy bin/tub for each room of the house. Things that aren't in the right spot, or I didn't put away, get put in the clutter bin. It's a bit of a catch all - books, water bottles, socks. Then on cleaning day I grab the clutter bin and put the things back where they actually belong.
- Kind of the same as above, but I have a bowl in each room to catch small things - bobby pins, loose change, hair ties, paper clips, etc.
That's all I can think of right now. Basically I have a lot of "systems" in place.
