I really enjoy using my GorillaPod Focus, bit taller than your normal GorillaPod. Sure it's pretty low to the ground if you can't find something to wrap its legs around, or something to put it up on. For me I shoot a lot of timelapses where I just step away from the camera for a bit, so it's perfect for that. I don't quite trust a monopod with those fold out legs at the bottom enough where I can just step away from the camera. I use a Manfrotto Ballhead on the GorillaPod so that I can quickly swap to another Manfrotto tripod, and cuz the Joby ballhead sucks. I use this setup mainly when I'm travelling, hiking, or just generally on the go and don't want to carry a tripod with me.

Other than that I got one of these filter cases where I store my filters (duh), lens pen, microfiber cloth, and extra batteries.
