Many, many USB drives will go for as cheap NAND as possible and won't reach even USB 2.0 speeds so why bother.
And while the 100G3 does reach around 100MB/s or 800 megabit per second, that's still very far from USB 3.0 speeds. Not to mention in random reads it drops to below 5MB/s...
OP needs an SSD, that's about it. There are 2242 SATA enclosures with A/C male plugs on each end 1005005225374617. That'll saturate the 5gbit/s bandwidth nicely.
Going higher, I would very cautiously suggest backing the Sharge Disk Kickstarter. I am normally vehemently against any electronics KS these days but Sharge has delivered quite a few and the product overall looks good.
