Id avoid ring lights and go for a panel light, assuming you can afford to spend a bit of extra money.

Panel lights offer softer light, which is less harsh on your eyes due to their design.

You lose that circle in your eyes and get a square, but its worth it for streamers imo.

You need a mount for this model, of which you have several options.

This one mounts typically on a rounded monitor stand.

You can add a gooseneck to that if it's too short for your needs

Or you can mount to the wall

Then there is the light stand from the floor

If it has a 1/4 - 20, it's compatible with most lighting gear actually. And cameras. And tripods. Mix and match to your needs.

This is my setup. Here is the amazon link.

I'm doing renovations on my home so I don't have everything set up how I would like but am very happy with my setup. I wish I could have insights though. Is there anyway around this?

For my basestations I use a pipe clamp mount with a 1/4in thread. One clamped onto a standing floor lamp and another on a curtain rod.
