I replaced my extruder stepper with this one
https://www.amazon.com/STEPPERONLINE-Stepper-Bipolar-Connector-compatible/dp/B00PNEQKC0/
It gave me more torque so my filament could run smoother, no problems after 3 years.
Here's a list of the basic parts I used. The motorized slider is something I modeled in Fusion360. I reclaimed a few things from 3D printer builds for it. The LEDs on the arms are cheap 3W guys I found on https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/
Smartphone Lens kit - The macro lens screws onto the telephoto lens. Turntable was repurposed from here:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4547074
Small stepper and driver (camera)*if you want to avoid buying the Nema 17 Stepper and the A4988 driver above for the turntable, you can use this turntable design, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3958326, and use two of these small steppers instead. I found this to be slightly underpowered, and it skipped steps with heavier objects. That's why I upgraded to a larger motor.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JB22IQC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm happy to share the script, although it's not very clean at the moment:

Here are my sources, in case anyone is interested: (The prices I paid, shown above, do not include shipping, which is free in some cases but not in others.)
Z Stepper: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074JJQJVP Y Stepper: https://www.ebay.com/itm/121146152794 (Awesome deal, and they still have some left) X steppers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PNEQKC0 1000mm SBR + 4 Bearing Blocks: https://www.ebay.com/itm/183042235383
Some sellers on eBay and Amazon have sales periodically. The SBR I bought from Amazon in 2015 went up from $47 to $110 in that time, but some eBay sellers have it cheaper. This is all, of course, assuming someone wants to build the best machine for the least money.
Also very useful is Blue Demon Triple Play aluminum brazing rod: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCTUIUN This stuff is nice. With some practice, I was able to make some nice strong beads, and even built an aluminum cane for when my back says it's going to rain.
