Also, when using these, it's best to remove the foam spacers that come with the Restrap bar bag. The closer and tighter the bag is to the bar, the better the clamps work.

I'd say the only negative of the clamps is that they take away from the available space on the bar, so if you have things like lights and bells that attach to the bar, it could be a problem.
