The LED version looks just as good when it's on. Just make sure to get high CRI/2700k edison for that warm rich glow.

Don't wait for those trash bulbs to burn out. They will use more than the cost of the LED bulb in electricity before they do. (1000 hours * 60 watts * 0.12 cents = $7.20 in power)
So throwing the bulbs away for a $5 each LED bulb pays for itself.
