That cable you linked to will split a signal, it will not combine two signals. You need dual XLR-F to XLR-M. Your cable is dual XLR-M to XLR-F.

Something like this will work, but you are marrying the signals so if one of the two people taps the mic while the other person is speaking into their mic, you can’t get rid of that:
