I’m never stoked on pickled ginger with food dye in it, and this one appears to be plain old ginger colored, so it looks like they could have omitted it. The next least traditional ingredient is potassium benzoate, which is tasteless, inhibits mold and bacteria growth, and is found in an absurd amount of food products. I’ve seen this brand at a local store but I haven’t bought it — I made my own gari a few months ago and will be working through it for the next two years probably…
