I personally find status tokens and spell overlays to be pointless and bulky.
Years of playing 5e, and if we use markers at all, we just use hair bands from walgreens. Tiny colored plastic rings that are easy to hook onto a mini. The ones I've seen for sale are huge, and look like they're meant to be put around the mini base, which I can't even begin to explain how dumb of a design that is.
And spell overlays, how do you even use them unless you use flat minis? Pick everything up, put it down, put everything back? set it 2" over the play surface? Honestly how difficult is it to just figure out a spell's area?
I've tried and used all sorts of little bits, bobs, gadgets and gizmos in my years of playing D&D, and I've never encountered one that actually made anything easier or more convenient than a much more rudimentary solution.
Potion container jars? It's novel but impractical. How often are you chugging potions that you're going to have this readily available?
Maybe one of the only manufactured things I place any value on is a GM screen, because it's a helpful reference.
What I will recommend is the Kitaboshi mechanical pencil.
