Softener salt is softener salt.
Best rinse aid I’ve found:
Cascade Rinse Aid Platinum, Dishwasher Rinse Agent, Regular Scent, 30.5 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FNXL5XE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XH37MJFDATKMTSQHHA3B
Hands down, absolutely the best detergent I’ve found:
(Pack of 6) Cascade with Phosphates Professional 85oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PT0324C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_51T9JQCC3D4P61ZT9FGV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 — the price is for a 30lb case, which is more than a one year supply for me. The box used to say dishwasher detergent and fryer boil out, they had to change the name to just “fryer boil out” because phosphated detergents are no longer allowed to be marketed for home use (due to laughably misguided environmental regulations, not safety concerns of anything like that).
