Please be careful. When a seller with an unusually low price asks you to email him/her before ordering, it is probably a scam:

Sadly, Amazon can't or won't do anything about this, so it is up to consumers to be vigilant.

I do my best to link to items that are either sold directly by Amazon, or by factory authorized third party sellers (especially those with a legit web presence outside of Amazon - e.g., Adorama, Beach Camera, Cameta Camera or Ritz Camera).

Here is a "like new" G7 with the 14-42 kit lens from Beach Camera for $697.99, and here is a demo unit from Adorama with the kit lens for $599.

Either of these would be a much safer transaction than dealing with an unknown seller on Amazon.

Again, hope this is helpful and good luck getting the best value for your money!

Not a dumb question. Panasonic's model designations can be confusing.

The first letter tells you the lens the camera comes with and the second tells you the body color.

For example:

And so on. The cameras are all the same.

Hope this is helpful!

Most people are correct in that most good DSLRs are around 1000. However, Panasonic makes some great micro 4/3 for under 1000. Also, a GOPRO is a good alternative as well.

As for mics is depends on the place, you are recording. Room acoustics are as important as the mic you are using. If you don't have a sound treated room, a dynamic mic is the best, unless you can use Nvidia broadcast (can only be used with Nvidia RXT cards.) If you have a computer with Nvidia RXT card, then I recommend Elgato wave mic. If not, then the Beacn mic is great as well.
