I have 3 Elite 1 controllers and every one had the right bumper do exactly this as you pictured.
The quality of the Elite series controllers is complete garbage. I never throw or bang my controllers and clean the outside case after each play session(excessive yes), just don’t like greasy/sweaty controllers.
With all that said, I fix my controllers with these parts from Amazon...
If you are replacing a normal Xbox Controller bumper, there are plenty of options. I would stick with Beracah or E-MODS. But any of the replacements do the job. None that i have seen are more durable. But the ones I have listed and replaced have yet to break.
