It requires Bluetooth 4. So if your built in adapter supports BT 4 then it should work. Everybody on here will tell you just to buy a dongle though because they are more reliable. I can't speak to the reliability of onboard BT but I can tell you that this cheap guy from Amazon did the trick for me:

I use this one to play VR games. It has no problem keeping up with two motion tracked motion controllers, so it should work quite fine for your purposes. Cheap, too

This one works, at least in my limited testing. Everything connected up immediately. I have only tested the "stable version" not the "updated version". Not sure what the difference is. Just so happened to be the one I had sitting in a drawer.
