Personally, I think it makes sense to either take a risk with the real cheap Alibaba options or spend enough get a reputable brand (HLG). I'd avoid the middle of the road options (Mars Hydro, etc).

Here are two HLG options:

You can afford a single COB at your price point. They're brighter over a smaller area. People love using lots of them, but I think one of those HLG quantum boards would probably be better than just one COB.

Before you buy any led lights you need to know what plants are you going to keep there and how many shelves if any are you going to install. There is a general rule regarding led lamps - the more wattage, the more powerful lamp and the greater distance between light and plant. It's important cos baggebo is small AF.

To give you an example : My bggebo is a prop station. I have four shelves and distance between lights and plants is approximately 5-10 cm. Only suitable source of light would be led stripes 14-18 wat per 1 meter. No less cos it would be not enough to sustain photosynthesis ( Yeelight is 3,75 wat per 1m) and no more cos it would burn my plants to ashes in such a close proximity. To evenly distribute light across the shelf I would need at least two rows, preferably three rows of light per shelf.

To give you another example: Here you have light recommendation for houseplants. As you can see aroids need 150-350 PPFD to grow nicely and not to burn. Now let's have a look at 65 wat lamp suggested by our fellow redditor. Pictures show that lamp gives 290 PPFD at the distance of 45 cm from the lamp, in the centre. . Above that is a death zone for many tropical foliage plants. It's half of baggebo..... Only high and very high light plants would grow healthy close to the lamp. If you really wanted such a strong light for tropical foliage you would have to hang rather small plants on the walls of baggebo where light intensity is lower.

I suggest one of these: HLG 65 V2 4000K Horticulture Lighting Group Quantum Board LED Grow Light Veg & Bloom 4000K | Version 2 High-Efficiency Upgraded Samsung LM301B LED's https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076QDKVDZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_72DRRTFCRD4GTJN4F321?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The lights you have just won’t be enough to produce the buds you are looking for.

Edit: don't worry about the gallium aluminum arcenide, it is encapsulated in acrylic plastic & not going anywhere. Just like a phone or a computer 😆

Any thoughts on the HLG lights? Many said they are the best on the market right now, wondering if anyone has any experience with them and how they compare? https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Board-Grow-Bloom-4000K/dp/B076QDKVDZ and https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Board-Grow-Bloom-3000K/dp/B07C59J8L2 and if you can only go with one color for a mix of plants in a area, is 3000k or 4000k better for everyone and their different stages?

how many plants? full mature plants or babies for transplanting? Budget?

HLG quantum boards great. https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Board-Grow-Bloom-4000K/dp/B076QDKVDZ is good for like 1 full size plant or a few smaller ones, or a few trays of seedlings.

But if you want to get a big boy you can get a 1000W Double ended HPS. https://www.amazon.com/VIVOSUN-Ultrahigh-Reflectivity-3-Mode-Adjust-Reflector/dp/B07MYQFMHW that will light up your whole shed and heat it lol. good for like 4+ big plants or lots of smaller ones or lots of trays of seedlings.

Needs to be full-spectrum for plants.

Edit to add: I was looking at this for mine.
