I've got one of these and it's pretty solid. It's nicer than the bargain basement stuff, but it's not a life-changer.
I've used a couple of the higher-end models in the past. For my two cents, glue guns are one of those things where diminishing returns kick in FAST. The $10-15 models are a lot better than the $5 crap. But spending $50 still gets you basically the same as the $15 models.
There are commercial models that are noticeably better, but the cost hundreds of dollars and aren't really worth it unless you're just going to be running glue through it non-stop, 8 hours a day. Even then, they don't really offer any major feature improvements, they just get hot faster, hold more glue, built tougher, etc.
