In the same boat as you: cable got yanked downwards and bent the male connection, still works but now I'm afraid of damaging the female connection on the PS5 due to the disfigured plug. I just ordered this right angle adapter so I can leave the headset cable plugged into this and not do any damage to the console. Should be here tomorrow so I'll update you if it works.

UPDATE: Adapter came in and works flawlessly. Definitely recommend.
