Yeah, those two person pocket mats are easy to get onto, with some help. They don’t fully support me, though. I have water over my hips, up to my belly.
The one you linked has just one air chamber, so weight on the mattress makes the pillow expand and get really hard, but the ribbing inside the pillow keeps it from bursting...usually. I’ve been on it many times, and I’ve been on it with someone, and I’ve been on it outside the pool with my very heavy BF, without popping it, but I’ve burst the pillow of one of these mats in the pool, all by myself, too.
Other brands have a separate pillow chamber, and those may hold up better. I don’t like them because they don’t seem to support as much.
A third kind has a separate pillow chamber on top, but I haven’t seen the two person ones for sale in a long time. The ribbing under the pillow of one of these broke and the mattress bulged on that end, so these aren’t super sturdy, either. They still sell a one person version. It’s too small to float me or my BF, but we’ve been on it outside the pool. We’ve even sat on it together. We somehow haven’t broken the smaller one.
Another float I like looks like a giant slice of watermelon. It doesn’t have pockets to grab onto, but it’s got puffy sections that you can sorta pull on or kick against. It’ll float me or my BF but not both of us. It holds us both outside the pool, though.

For floating together in the pool, we’ve used four person floats something like this. His legs fit in the hole, mine don’t, so I sit with my feet to his sides. Helps balance us, too! It doesn't hold its shape and we end up twisting the hell out of it and eventually falling out of it, but it's fun.

And for floating with someone a lot smaller than BF, and when I was a little smaller myself

That took some unconventional seating to make work with a large weight difference. I sat with my back to the center, shoulders over the second hole, and she sat on the far end of the tube, not in the hole.
