If you have the HX1000i Black Label then you would want the RMi/RMx series actually. Naming gets confusing, I'm aware, sorry about that. Originally the HXi blue label was type 3, but they did the same naming with the HXi black label units and those are type 4. Also, yes, these do replace your stock cables completely, no extensions/adapters. :)
