Do you think the atmega variant would be okay enough then for a B8.5? Any suggested links? I found a few on Aliexpress, but not sure if they're reputable.

Have any thoughts on this instead? If it does work, it'll be nice since I dont need to find a computer to get VCDS on.

I have also looked into Carista and OBD11 a bit more and hate the "credits" that you need to buy just to do brakes for example.
