I use them and really like them, but there are many options and some of them don't look very good. I have the Netdot "Gen10" ones, which I chose because besides the cables, they also have available C-to-C adapters so I can use them on C-to-C cables. There are no C-to-C cables for them though.
USB-PD support works with these adapters for Samsung Tabs S4 and S6, Pixel 1, P2XL, P3, but for P4XL it works only in one orientation in the cable-adapter joint (on the adapter-phone's end it works both ways so it's not a big deal), and certain cables don't work (not sure about the difference there, but may be ones that have an "emarker" vs ones that don't).
Another plus that I found is that as they're just rebranded Chinese adapters, some others are compatible with them, recently I bought these Digital Ant "GenX" cables and they're the same thing, they all work together, so there are also nice right-angle cables as well.
I can now charge my iOS devices (no PD support for them but they charge at 10-12W just fine via A-to-Lightning) and my Android devices with the same cable. The Samsung tablets also fast charge via Samsung's Quick Charge clone charging at 15W so no PD needed for them.
