Well… it’s not a receiver, so that’s one issue using it as one.
A receiver is a device that supplies power to passive speakers. It has speaker terminals on the back so you can connect speaker wire to it. The Victrola doesn’t have speaker terminals and it can’t power the speakers of your choosing, it only plays through with the extremely shitty speakers built into the box. So while you would technically be able to connect another turntable to it… if you’re still playing through the Victrola speakers, your records will still basically sound like you’re listening to a clock radio. They’d wear out slower but the listening experience would still be awful.
Sell the Victrola on Craigslist or FB marketplace and start over fresh. At minimum you need a turntable, plus a pair of powered stereo speakers. Stereo means there will be two of them, left and right, so that you can position them a good distance apart and get a stereo soundstage.
