every time. your ability to estimate what's "too loud" is not nearly as good as you think.
When you're 40 and have a constant ringing in your ears you'll wish you'd worn ear plugs every time.
Ideally, you want earplugs that reduce spl across the audible frequency range. These do that, and aren't expensive This means they won't fuck with the overall sound, they just make everything a bit quieter. Do your future self a favor.
Constant ringing might be fun or a novelty now, but believe me, you get sick of it after a couple days/months/years. It never ends. I can't fall asleep in a quiet room now.
