JBLs 305 are the best out of the ones you've mentioned, especially considering speech clarity. This aspect alone will just blow you away.
Ah yes, I should have clarified in the post but the one I mentioned was best under the 200$ budget. The JBLs go for 260$, double that of the MR4. I'm looking to upgrade (probably skip this tier) entirely int he future after I graduate!

As for the SMSL D6, that recommendation does seem very convenient as I may even connect my laptop over sometimes via Bluetooth. I will look into this.

For the Subwoofers, my budget remains quite low. However, the Eris Sub8 does look very promising. It's $200 right now but I spot some listings as low as $150, which may be worth going over budget for. Link: PreSonus Eris Sub8
Question: I get that an 8" will work for my desk setup but... is 50w RMS really enough? Would these two be better? They are both cheaper. I'm not sure which monoprice subs youa re talking about.
1.)Monoprice "Premium Select" 8 inch 200w 114567 ($130)
2.) Dayton SUB-800 8 inch 80w ($135)
