I got my RWS deck from de brigh and I really like it! The pictures don’t look pixelated and the colors aren’t garish. The card stock has a linen-like texture that feels nice. It’s about $20

Hell, you can find a better RWS on Ebay or Amazon too. Da Brigh has a good one. I have it and it reminds me of my first University Books deck from the late 60s. The UB deck been retired as it's very worn and dog eared. I found a second copy of it a while back at a local used bookstore--complete with box, LWB, and a printing error of white dots up the left side of the 2 of Swords. This deck usually *starts* at around 100 because it's OOP, bright and the cardstock is *chef's kiss* Anyway, the Da Brigh one is practically a clone of the UB RWS. And they have one they call Lustrous Tarot that looks like a more muted version of the RWS.
I haven't noticed USG's card quality falling lately, but maybe I just got lucky? I got the Glow In The Dark deck about a week ago and the cards feel heavy and stiff. I'm not sure if it's the cardstock or the luminescent ink. I have the original glowy deck and it's just the Majors, and those cards feel like plastic. It stays home because it's collectible. I got that north of 20 years ago, so maybe that's before the quality tanked? Dunno.
I've got the 'official' versions, too. I haven't noticed a problem with any of them. *shrug* Lo Scarabeo/Llewellyn decks, otoh, often feel like they're going to tear with one shuffle. They've gotten better in recent years.
Anyway, if people want a better RWS deck, just search for it on your favourite shopping site and check the reviews.
