I have this setup and regularly leave my Eneloops in the chargers. I have not noticed any reduction in life span. The only other rechargeables I have tried are these Tenavolts AA batteries and they come with their own charger and instruction to NOT use anything else to charge them. So, I don't have much to say about other brands working with the Eneloop chargers.

For anyone unfamiliar, Nanfu is the manufacturer of the batteries in this expired promotion:

EDIT:

I bet u/parametrek could recommend some reputable reviewers that could do some interesting tests and comparisons with the TENAVOLTS batteries.

EDIT:

The person running lygte-info.dk does comprehensive reviews, but I'm not sure what his reddit username is:

EDIT:

I don't speak for Nanfu, but if you want to improve your odds of being chosen to do a review, I'm sure it would be helpful to explain a little about the reviews you have done in the past, and give some idea of how far your review would reach to help sales of their product (reddit, Amazon, YouTube, etc).

I do speak for r/AAMasterRace, and the fact Nanfu has come here first to ask for help indicates they are interested in our success just like we are interested in their success. So, it seems reasonable to me you would be a more attractive candidate if your review plans included mention of how you will Glorify the Gloriously Glorious AA Master Race, and help it gain momentum and mindshare.

I don’t have a huge issue with temperature where I live but I’ve been using these for a while now with no problems.

these have larger internal Li-ion cells with more capacity, but they require an external charger (kinda, it's just a direct 5v to charge), no fancy circuits.

they often go on sale for $12 for a 4-pack (with the pseudo-charger box)

Hola amigo, bienvenidos a Windows Mixed Reality! Tengo familia en Mexico y hablo poco espanol jaja, pero que precio bueno por ese headset. I agree with you in that these older style WMR headsets are great budget options for people who want to get into VR for cheap. I actually had a Lenovo Explorer as well and loved it, but now my friend has it as I upgraded to a Samsung Odyssey+ but no complaints from either one of us.

Can you order these batteries in MX? They work really great for me with no random low battery warnings like some other cheap batteries.
