For what you want to do - assuming you NEVER want to run more than that...

*(sorry i tend to edit a lot)

Battery

$139 https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Max-Battery-Back-Up-Product/dp/B00OZMVI46

Take your pick of cheap PSW inverters

$45 https://www.amazon.com/BESTEK-300Watt-Power-Inverter-Adapter/dp/B07KQ4Q2L5/

You need input power of course

$103 https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Monocrystalline-Solar-Compact-Design/dp/B07GF5JY35

and a charge controller

$50 https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Adventurer-Charge-Controller-Display/dp/B015DDVDQS

~25-50 dollars for cables and other connection related gear. This will run a 100 watt TV for 3-5 hours each night (depends on daily input) without destroying the SLA.

If you got 2 panels instead of one panel you'd never have to worry about it being full until the battery finally dies. Probably need to replace it every 2 years.

Hi,

I have not bought anything yet so this looks like a good potential option. I drew up a diagram of what I was thinking but don't know how to attach it here as a file (first time posting on Reddit).

This is the concept I am going for minus the alternator charging part:

https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5c63509170468018bfae93b6/t/607bce5b6180b92ab27a455a/1618726492068/Solar+Cheat+Sheet01.jpg

These are the components I am considering:

Panels: x3 Renogy 100w 12v https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GF5JY35?tag=skooliesupply-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1

Combiner Box: Eco-worthly 4 string https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F5HDP2W?tag=skooliesupply-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

Solar Charge Controller: Renogy 40 amp 12v mppt https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSYGZGI?tag=skooliesupply-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

Battery: Chins 300ah Lithium https://www.amazon.com/CHINS-LiFePO4-Battery-2000-5000-Off-Grid/dp/B08N53GF81/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Inverter: 2000w TBD

Shore Power Plug: 30amp

Auto Transfer Switch: 30amp in 30amp out https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00153EYTO?tag=skooliesupply-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1

Converter/smart charger: Powermax PM4 60a 110v to 12v DC with smart battery charger https://www.amazon.com/PowerMax-PM4-100A-Converter-Battery/dp/B01ER3LGYY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=vc-electrical-20&linkId=d8548aa852a41b8ce022d573b5e907c1&language=en_US

Would this system all work together? Would that item you recommended be a better fit. I'm also considering getting a renogy inverter/charger/converter combo to do my inverting to AC from DC battery and also my converting from AC shore power to DC to charge battery but those are a bit pricey.

Open to all thoughts and recommendations of course.
