Beyond gloves and paper towels, here’s a non-exhaustive list:

  1. Silicon mats - You will spill resin. You’re going to want to make sure you have these bad boys on the surfaces you’re working on for easy cleanup.

  2. Mesh Filters - when you pour resin back into the bottle, you’re going to need to filter it so no partially cured goobers get into your bottled resin. Pick up a funnel while you’re at it.

  3. Pickle Strainer - if you aren’t getting a wash and cure machine, which I recommend instead of a strainer, you’re going to want to rinse your prints in this. It’ll keep you from dipping your hands in the contaminated IPA.

  4. A bucket. Buckets are always handy. Never regretted having a bucket nearby.

  5. Eye protection - You will inevitably clip or pop some supports and a little piece of sharp resin is going to come flying at your face. When it bounces off your goggles, you will be so glad you bought them.

  6. A good mask - I use this one with these filters which I change out every 3-4 months depending on how often I print. I wear a respirator for the resin fumes but also for…

  7. A spray bottle - I put IPA in there to clean up drips and stuff. I can’t recommend spraying the IPA without a mask, but I’m not a doctor. Just someone who is cautious.

  8. A flexible build plate - this is a luxury, but is so worth it in my opinion. Makes it easy to go from ending a print to starting a new one with the least amount of hassle. I like the Wham Bam plates personally.
