Which model powered speakers?
Bluetooth Receiver $28.
Or WiFi Streaming with voice or app control + Bluetooth:

I had that same issue and after 3 dongles found this one: https://www.amazon.com/B06-Plus-Bluetooth-Receiver-Streaming/dp/B078J3GTRK it sits nicely inside my armrest totally invisible and as soon as I turn on the car, my phone pairs flawlessly. It really really feels like a factory solution, besides my car emits a nice beep when I start it up courtesy of the Bluetooth pairing, best gadget I could ever get for my car.
Good price. New or used cartridge doesn't matter much since they don't wear out. It's the stylus you want to be new since that is what wears out and gets replaced. If it's a new cartridge then it should usually have a new stylus on it.
Optionally connect a Bluetooth receiver to the speakers for digital music. Or Wiim Mini or Pro both add Wifi streaming with Alexa and Apple Airplay 2 with Siri in addition to Bluetooth, the Pro adds Google Chromecast and Assistant.
A later upgrade would be to an amp or receiver and a better and usually larger pair of $200+ passive speakers or buy used for half the cost.
Thank you very much, minimal :)
I just looked on Amazon quickly and found what seems to be what you are suggesting, more or less: (?)
BT Receiver to hook up to my A/V receiver AUX input:

And
Transmitter to hook up to my mixer's main outputs:

~$80 or so for both together sounds about right?
