It can be used for some houseplants, but I wouldn't recommend for cactus and succulents or other plants that require the full spectrum (red, blue, infrared, white).

I have 8 of these LED lights, six of which you can see in this photo (and two other similar taller LEDs) and they work fine for several plants that don't require strong light. I like this particular lamp, because I can place them flat on top of some terrariums, that would be impossible to light otherwise.

I've been at this for well over 50 years and sometimes I sit here and laugh, when I recall all my plants had nothing but regular old fashioned incandescent bulbs and they did beautifully. I've gotten suckered into the plant light marketing and have over 50 lights of varying shapes and sizes and I sometimes wonder if they are actually any better than incandescent or florescent lighting. :)

Thank you!

The only ones under a grow light is the photo with the fuchsia color. That is this UFO light: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072HNNSFZ/, which I find to be one of the best grow lights for many plants.

The other violets are under plain, ordinary white LEDs. Violets don't really need anything fancy. I use these lights for many of my plants, including violets and micro violets: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LDXSK2M

90% of my 400+ plants are in terrariums, hanging or in the BR, where my two kitties are not allowed. The others are at unreachable kitty heights.

Not sure about the orchid, but I bet the violets will do fine with the installed cabinet lighting. The lighting in the fifth photo, is cabinet lighting.

I have dozens upon dozens of various grow lights for other plants, but in my greenhouse, I use standard under cabinet lighting - nothing fancy. :)
